寄明信片是將掛念用一筆一劃由異地傳送，希望收信人收到來自遠方的溫暖感覺。正身處異地的我在旅途上遇到不少特別經歷，我用畫作及文字分享一個個不起眼但藏著耐人尋味的故事，每個都是觸動我的畫面。

With its foreign imagery and handwritten messages, postcard carries warmth and thoughts from afar to its recipients. As full-time travellers on the road, we are constantly seeing new things, gaining new perspectives, knowing interesting people and their fascinating stories, stories that touched us.
“Let’s Get The Feeling” is a project of sincere exchanges and sharing. Through our postcards, we hope to inspire the spirit of exploration and bring back the human touch that post once bring to you in the pre-digital age.

A good billboard tells you what the store sells. This one uses Traditional Chinese, English and graphic elements, with the dollar sign enhanced by neon, plus a pig on top… it must sell piggie bank! Except if it doesn’t…

加拿大溫哥華唐人街 Vancouver Chinatown, Canada
為慶祝溫哥華華埠成立 125年，一幅巨型嘅「老子騎牛像」壁畫喺 2010 年誕生於唐人街，成為一大地標。但多次遭受塗鴉，成為叧類「中西藝術交流」嘅場地，被人宣洩不滿情緒。
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Vancouver Chinatown, a big mural of Lao Tsu riding a cow was commissioned in 2010 and became a local landmark.
Since then it’s been covered with graffiti and became an alternative platform for “Chinese and Western cultural exchange”.

機緣巧合喺唐人街發現一間不顯眼嘅中式飯店，雖然無華麗裝修，卻充滿八十年代香港感覺及人情味。
我特別鍾意店內一張被玻璃壓住嘅手寫繁體及英文菜單，因為隔住塊玻璃我都感受到筆筆有勁，劃劃有味。
By chance, we found a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Despite the lack of glamorous decorations, it was filled with the feelings of 80s Hong Kong style.
I’m most attracted to the menus handwritten in Traditional Chinese and English under the glass, because I can feel the intention with each brushstroke.

曾經風光過嘅溫哥華唐人街，感覺就好似九龍城一樣，有種說不出嘅空洞。人去鋪空卻留下一個個 嘅舊招牌，見證時代嘅演變。
Glorious days have passed Vancouver’s Chinatown, just like Kowloon City in Hong Kong. People have moved out, leaving store logos standing and witnessing changes as time goes by.

阿拉斯加暫時係我哋去過緯度最高嘅地方，喺我哋 Glamping 嘅前一晚有人話見到北極光。
食飽晚飯就開始準備入夜試睇極光，雖然成晚都見唔到，但一些都無失望。因為成晚抬頭望見嘅唔只一片星空，而係一個銀河。
Alaska is the location with the highest latitude I’ve been yet. We were told that the previous night there was pretty strong levels of aurora borealis. We’re really excited and prepared ourselves and our cameras and waited outside after dinner.
It didn’t show up at the end but we weren’t disappointed because what we saw above us is more than just stars, but the whole galaxy.

美國阿拉斯加 Alaska, USA
主人係一位熱愛大自然嘅美國人，有次經過公路旁邊望到冰川嘅小山坡就買咗塊地，一手一腳將佢建成呢個只有兩個 Tent 嘅超低密度 Glamping 小天地。
大部份嘅裝置同傢私都簡樸但非常有心思設計，全人手製作，同四周環境完美融合，完全體會到阿拉斯加人尊重愛惜大自然嘅生活態度。
The owner of this “glamping” (glamorous camping) site is a fan of nature. One day he spotted this site overlooking the Matanuska Glacier when passing through the highway and felt in love, so he purchased the land and started building. The site only has two tents, but every piece of furniture and facility including toilets and the wooden bathtub is handmade and well designed and decorated, fitting in perfectly with its beautiful surroundings. In here you can really feel the Alaskans’ love and respect for nature.

第一次划艇就係喺阿拉斯加出海睇冰川，用自己嘅體力划到冰川前食三文治，近距離望到破裂嘅冰山，仲聽到有 DELAY 嘅冰塊跌落海嘅聲，非常難忘。
原來最早嘅 KAYAK 就係喺阿拉斯加出現，呢個 SEA KAYAKING 經歷變得更有意思。
My first ever sea kayaking experience happened in Alaska where we kayak towards Aialik Glacier in Kenai National Park. We brought ourselves in front of the glacier and had a sandwich, when looking on to glacier calving from afar. What a memorable experience!
Fun fact: native Alaskans actually invented kayak. That makes kayaking in Alaska even more special.

一個天陰有雨嘅下午，划完艇睇冰川坐緊回程嘅途中，船長神色突然變得緊張，並慢慢停下船隻。
喺我哋遠方有一條正向夏威夷南遷避冬嘅座頭鯨跳出水面，無安排卻無意中出現嘅情景特別難能可貴。
In a rainy afternoon on our way back from sea kayaking, our captain suddenly slow down the boat and look into the sea with his binoculars.
Right in front of us there was a humpback whale on its way to Hawaii. It jumped out and flipped, to our excitement. Surprises like this always make our trip all the more memorable.

In the corridor of Trans-Siberian Railway, I encountered this young lady in a cute outfit that instantly melts my heart.

西伯利亞鐵路經過火車站月台，你會見到有好多唔似有 BB 嘅大嬸推住嬰兒車。佢地改裝變成流動食物車，賣些簡單自家製食物：香腸、煎肉餅、青瓜、蕃茄、雞蛋、紅莓、魚柳包，好平好味好地道，絕對係坐西伯利亞鐵路不能錯過嘅重要環節。
On the platforms along the Trans-Siberian Railway, mature Russian ladies pushing baby trolleys along the train - in fact they are vendors pushing food trolleys which sell home-made food for train travellers: sausages, fried meat patties, pickled small cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, boiled eggs, cups of sweet strawberries and raspberries, and fish finger sandwich, all cheap and tasty. Feeding hungry travellers from near and far, trying out these "platform food" is one Trans-Siberian experience not to be missed.

世界最長嘅鐵路貫穿歐洲同亞洲，橫跨三個國家（中國、蒙古國同俄羅斯）、八個時區，如果唔落車由頭坐到尾單程要七日七夜。我覺得佢同睇演唱會一樣，一樣都係好難買飛。
One of the world’s longest railway journeys passes through Europe and Asia, crossing three great countries – China, Mongolia and Russia and eight time zones. One way from the first station to the last takes seven days.
Buying tickets for the journey takes skills and luck - just like buying pop concert tickets.

Every cart on the Trans-Siberian Railway has a spring of life – hot water boiler. Besides making cup noodles, we also make use of it to carry out what we call the "coffee diplomacy" – acquainting new friends with our freshly brewed coffee.

全世界最深嘅湖，喺唔同時間及季節嘅景觀同感覺都會完全唔同。冬天嘅時候全個湖都會結冰，可以企喺清澈嘅湖面上。而夏天望住日落湖景，就有一種平靜、安逸、放鬆嘅感覺，非常治癒。
The deepest lake in the world presents itself differently in four seasons. During winter when the whole surface of the lake freezes up, one can stand on top of the crystal clear surface and look downwards.
In summer, it’s very calming and relaxing to watch the sun sinking slowly into the lake.

原來喺 2009年12月9日夜晚，有一隻金字塔形嘅 UFO 喺紅牆同克理姆林宮嘅上空停留過。夠膽喺戰鬥民族權力中心嘅頭頂玩嘢，認真唔係同你開玩笑。
Russia always gives an impression of mystery.
According to some, on the night of 9 December 2009, a UFO in the shape of a pyramid stopped briefly on top of the Kremlin and the Red Square. Only extraterrestrials would have the guts to play on top of the centre of power of the "Fighting Tribes".

俄羅斯大約有六成人信奉東正教，教堂頂部好多都係金色洋葱頭，十分搶眼易認，特別喺莫斯科。
除咗金色以外，洋葱頂會配上鮮艷搶眼嘅顏色同花紋，例如格仔、螺旋、不同類形線條，成為與俄羅斯方塊同樣世界聞名嘅俄羅斯洋葱頭教堂。
About 60% of Russians are Orthodox Christians. Many of their churches are instantly recognisable by its golden domes, especially in Moscow.
Besides the gold, colourful patterns like checks, spirals, all sorts of geometric lines and shapes can be found on the church domes. These visual elements contribute to the fame of the church domes in our Russian impression.

紅色楓葉係加拿大嘅標誌，每年入秋大約喺九至十月， 楓葉就會由綠色轉黃色，最後變成期間限定嘅紅色楓樹。
原來比陽光照射較多嘅葉會最快變色，所以有一段短時間，你會見到楓樹嘅葉係紅黃綠嘅漸變色。配上秋季嘅藍天，一行出戶外就會見到大自然為你調教好嘅多元色彩。
Maples are the symbol of Canada. Every autumn starting from September they change from green to yellow, and ultimately to the limited edition of red.
Leaves with more directly sunlight changes the quickest, so often you will see gradients of red, yellow and green in a single maple tree. With the clearest blue skies as background, nature prepares a visual feast for us and all we need to do is step outside.

營運商以不良手法經營，用長途巴士過橋，改裝巴士超載黑工貨物偷運入蒙古國，係一架外紅內黑嘅巴士。
From Beijing, we boarded an overnight bus to Erenhot, Inner Mongolia and finally Zamiin-Uud in Mongolia. Unfortunately, our bus operator tried to make more money by overloading the bus with Chinese workers and more goods and got caught by the border security, which totally disrupted our plan to catch the final train to Ulaanbaatar.

喺二連浩特嘅大商場揾到佢間實體店，仲有正品保證，講到明假一罰十，唔買就笨實。
"Chinese specialty" sports brand New Barlun is known to the world for pirating New Balance, using the latter for infringement in China, succeeded. New Balance had to pay 98 million RMB to New Barlun.
We visited their store in Erenhot's biggest mall. They even offer genuity guarantee. Who wants New Balance when there's New Barlun?

二連浩特以發掘到恐龍化石聞名。慕名嚟到恐龍公園，成個維園噤大，就淨係揾到呢隻仲要係唯一一隻不健全嘅恐龍雕像。
Erenhot is famous for the discovery of dinosaur fossils. With great expectation we went to the Dinosaur Park, which was as big as Victoria Park in Hong Kong, to find the only thing broken dinosaur here was this statue.

因為過境黑巴超載工人貨物，被逼滯留關口，白白錯過日落前由蒙古國邊境駛往首都烏蘭巴托嘅通宵火車。
好在有同車好心地蒙古國駐南京學生幫助，安排我哋坐上呢架載滿貨物同行李，計埋司機坐咗6個人嘅通宵沙甸泥鯭 Van。
The border-crossing bus we took from Beijing to Zamyu-Uud (border town of China and Mongolia) ended up spending 3 hours overloading the bus with Chinese workers and then got caught by border control. By the time we arrived in Zamyu-Uud the last train of the day to Ulaanbaatar was already gone.
